Oxford Book of Carols, The

(1928)
   Edited by Percy Dearmer, Martin Shaw, and Ralph Vaughn Williams, who contributed many excellent arrangements of the tunes, this collection of both traditional and modern carols dominated carol singing by choirs in the English-speaking world for most of the 20th century. It was superceded by The New Oxford Book of Carols (1992) edited by Hugh Keyte and Andrew Parrott.
